Dover OH Child Photographer | Project 52 | how do I have an 11 year old?!

Dover OH Child Photographer

week 17 | emma is turning 11!

I’m not sure when it happened. I feel like I blinked and she grew up. As of today it’s official… we have an 11 year old. A few days ago I was having one of those days… You know the one. Dishes are piling up. You wash them. Kids dirty more. Work is just not super enticing. You want to go outside. Your kids are screaming/whining/fighting. The 3 year old suddenly forgot how to use the potty. You have to go to the grocery store for the 3rd time this week. By lunch time you want to reach for the coffee wine just to get you through. (kidding… maybe… 😉 ) So what do we do on days like this when the sun is shining outside but work/cleaning/boring stuff is piling up inside? We head to Norma Johnson Center for a hike on the trails! Okay so first we actually head to Marshall’s to find a cute top for Emma to wear. You know, just in case I decide to take a couple pictures of her for her 11th birthday milestone. 😛 And then we head to Justice because apparently all of her under tank-tops are too small or too worn. And then we have to play in the mall play area. And then we have to buy a pretzel at Auntie Anne’s. Anyone noticing a “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” theme here? That’s a bit how it felt. We did finally make it over to Norma Johnson Center in Dover and we had a wonderful little hike and some exploring time. We love that place!!! If you haven’t been, you really need to stop by and check it out sometime. I also do sessions here and it’s one of my favorite spots and ranks pretty high on client’s favorite locations as well. Keep in mind, if you’re up for a hike, I can actually do a slightly earlier afternoon/evening shoot here if we’re within the shade of the woods. Otherwise, I do keep to my hour before sunset session start time. 🙂

And lucky for you, I did manage to grab a few photos of Emma to mark her 11th birthday milestone. Crazy how time flies. She looks so grown up to me here. Enjoy your wee little ones while you can and grab all the snuggles they’ll allow!
